Rings of Fire
In June, alongside the British Association for Sustainable Sport (BASIS), we launched a report looking at the implications and likelihood of extreme heat at the Paris Olympics.
In March, we launched a report, Sports, Climate Change and Legal Liability, alongside the Environmental Defenders Office. The report is a first of its kind, analysing the legal risks climate change poses to sport.
Across three days the Footy for Climate team walked MPs through the locker room, featuring FFC’s journey, stories of local clubs impacted by extreme weather, and passionate players like Izzy Huntington and Nicola Barr.
Some of Sydney’s favourite sports stars braved the cold at Coogee Beach in August to help protect our precious coastline, taking the plunge in support of seaweed restoration and to raise much-needed money in the process.
